Hello, Oby Ezeilo, thank you for submitting your final report. I have a few comments and questions that I’d like you to respond to:
- I could not find a link to the list of created Wiktionary entries in the report. Could you please edit the report and add that link?
- It’s great to see that you have had more participants than you planned. Are those participants still editing on Igbo Wiktionary? Additionally, is the Whatsapp group you created still active?
- How have you been motivating teachers to attend the edit-a-thons?
- Finally, what’s the progress of creating a seperate Wiktionary of Igbo language?
Thank you again for your amazing work for the Wikimedia Movement. I have reviewed your expense documentation and final report and accepted both. Your grant is now complete! Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 05:36, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
Hello, DSaroyan (WMF) regarding your questions, here are my answers.
- Here is the link: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Project/Rapid/Oby_Ezeilo/Igbo_Wiktionary_edit_a_thon_with_secondary_school_teachers_in_Abuja.
- Yes some of are still editing and adding content in the Igbo Wiktionary, Also the Whatsapp group is very active and growing.
- I formed a wiki club in Federal Government Girls' College Abuja , i normally invite the teachers to participate in our programmes that's how i motivate them and they enjoy it.
- Its progressing well. We started with 67 words now we have 624 words. However there is need for more contribution so that it will continue to grow and come out from incubator stage. Here is the link https://incubator.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wt/ig/Ihu_mbu&redirectfrom=infopage.
