Comments from WMF edit

Hello Medhavigandhi, thank you for submitting the final and additional reports for your grant proposal.

  • Could you confirm in the section I've added that you have no remaining funds after the additional expenses?
  • Which of your learnings are you incorporating into the The Heritage Lab Art And Feminism 2019 edit-a-thon?

Thank you again for your hard work! Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 08:21, 28 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dear DSaroyan (WMF) I can confirm there are no additional funds left. I have mentioned the same in the section you added as well. For my learnings from the 2019 Editathon : 1) Improving facilitation : At one event, we did not have a projector/screen facility for the training. So I had one experienced Wikipedian sit on the table with 4-5 new editors. This approach worked significantly better. 2) For breakout sessions, we included short talks + screenings - to make new editors more comfortable. 3) In 2019, we also tried a new thing : partnering with the India Art Fair for an editathon. Even though conducting this helped us gain more interest from museums, we couldn't achieve much in terms of editing. So going forward, we want to host editathons at spaces such as India Art Fair with the sole focus of enabling other possible hosts to learn about Editathons [In 2020 we did not host one as the event was in January ]

We have continued to receive support from our community and hope to make 2020 a success!] --Medhavigandhi (talk) 05:55, 29 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
