Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Jeanette Rebecca Nyinawumuntu/Wiki Loves Monuments 2020 in Rwanda/Report

Comments from DSaroyan (WMF) edit

Hi RebeccaRwanda, thanks for submitting this final report and running the Wiki Loves Monuments campaign in Rwanda. I have reviewed your report and have a few questions that I'd like you to address:

  • You mentioned that you had more than 30 participants in the project. How did you track the number of participants and their contributions? Can you provide any link which will show these numbers? Could you specify how many participants exactly you had?
  • How many images did you upload in terms of the campaign? How many of them did you use in your articles?
  • What articles did the participants edit? Could you provide a list of these articles?
  • Please add the winning photos to the report page.
  • As communicated to you earlier, please note that grantees, judges, and other contest leaders are ineligible to receive prizes. Grantees who are serving as judges may not receive gifts through grant funding.

Looking forward to your response. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 14:11, 19 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Dear DSaroyan (WMF) the following are the reply to the comments in general we have been successful in implementing the project as proposed. For the rest of the comments here are our responses :

1.You mentioned that you had more than 30 participants in the project. How did you track the number of participants and their contributions? Can you provide any link which will show these numbers? Could you specify how many participants exactly you had?

Please use this link for the statistics : https://ptools.toolforge.org/uploadersincat.php?category=Images+from+Wiki+Loves+Monuments+2020+in+Rwanda

2.How many images did you upload in terms of the campaign? How many of them did you use in your articles?

179 Images were uploaded in the campaign and it is shown these statistics provided below: for the total number of images uploaded during the contest: https://ptools.toolforge.org/uploadersincat.phpcategory=Images+from+Wiki+Loves+Monuments+2020+in+Rwanda for the number of images used on other wikipedia pages: https://wikiloves.toolforge.org/monuments/2020

3. Please add the winning photos to the report page https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2020_winners#Rwanda

.About the number of articles of articles improved of participants, we just made an estimate because the tool shows 3% of images were used on other wikis ,and this was before we extended the contest timeline , and by this you will even see that the tools for the statistics differ in terms of the number of images and number of participants because one has statistics before the extension where as the other provides general statistics after the contest extension

4. As communicated to you earlier, please note that grantees, judges, and other contest leaders are ineligible to receive prizes. Grantees who are serving as judges may not receive gifts through grant funding.

It is well noted with thanks ,for all contests after that announcement that was rectified.

Thanks. looking forward
