Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Hindustanilanguage/2nd International Conference on Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Infections and AIDS
Hello @WJifar (WMF):, I've submitted this proposal earlier this month. I'll be glad if you or any other esteemed member from your team reviews and reverts to me. Thank you very much! --Muzammil (talk) 13:59, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
Not Funded edit
Hello Muzammil, please accept my sincere apology for taking a long time to respond to your request. We've been inundated with requests at the rapid grants program and we're slowly making our way through all of them. I see that your request has now passed. But I wanted to let you know why we will not be funding your request.
- As you can see in our eligibility criteria maximum requests are for 2000 USD. Your requested amount was $946 USD above the limit.
- You can also see in our eligible travel section that we support local and regional travel and you were proposing traveling from India to Las Vegas.
Again, I am sorry I wasn't able to get back to you on this earlier. I hope this information will provide guidance in the future for requesting a travel grant. Please email us at <rapidgrants@wikimedia.org> if you have further questions. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 03:36, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you, Woubzena for reviewing my grant proposal. I accept and welcome any decision on my request. However, if my application had been reviewed earlier, I could perhaps have tried to address the foremost objection in the eligibility criteria, i.e. $946 USD above the limit by perhaps seeking support from an agency / organization in India as HIV/AIDS is still one of the burning issues across the globe. --Muzammil (talk) 16:48, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
- Hello Muzammil, you make a fair point. As I had mentioned our program has been a bit back logged and we're actively working to improve our response time. I do take your feedback to heart and hope you'll have a better experience with our program next time. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 18:44, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
- Just for record, thank you. --Muzammil (talk) 16:51, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
