Use of remaining funds to purchase books
editHello DSaroyan (WMF), I hope you are fine?
I would like to use the remaining funds of 54,000 XOF to buy 5 or 6 books. Indeed, during our library research, we noted the lack of several books by important authors. And as we did with the 16,000 XOF (reduction in library registration fees) that you allowed us to use for the purchase of 2 books that helped us create the pages of 2 authors including the books were not found; We will want to use the remaining 54,000 XOF to purchase books from other prominent authors whose works have not been found in the library. Book prices vary depending on the book and the place of sale. For example, in official and recognized bookstores (which issue receipts) the prices of new books can vary from 8000 XOF to 13000 XOF and even more ... But in sidewalk or neighborhood bookstores (which generally do not issue received), book prices generally between 5,000 XOF and 8,000 XOF, and vary according to the period.
NB: I would like to stress that it is very often in sidewalk bookstores that one finds books that are not in the library; because being generally old books, the official bookstores hardly sell them any more.
So speaking of buying 5 or 6 books, I am counting on the amount of XOF 8000 per book bought from a sidewalk bookstore, as we are currently in the back-to-school period which means that the prices of books have increased on the market. The 54000 XOF fund will therefore allow us to buy a maximum of 6 pounds, and the rest of the money (8000 XOF) will be used for transport: 8000 x 6 = 48000 XOF / Remainder = 8000 XOF.

Request approved
editHello Aristidek5maya, thanks for posting your request. I have reviewed and approved it. You can use the remaining funds of 54,000 XOF to purchase some missing books in your library. Please note that you will need to send additional expense documents to WMF once you make the purchases. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 06:28, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hello DSaroyan (WMF), OK, I will send you the additional expense documents as well as the number of books purchased.--Aristidek5maya (talk) 12:23, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hello DSaroyan (WMF), I Hope you are doing well? Regarding the purchase of the works I told you about, I went around the bookstores (official and sidewalk) but I was not able to have any. It is only with an Association named ABOLCI (Association of Bouquinistes et Libraires de Côte d'Ivoire) - which collects rare books on the market - that I was able to find at least 6 books. However, this Association does not sell the works it owns. They are consulted on site at their headquarters. So failing to buy them, I would like to use the remaining funds as transport costs for the days of reading these works on site in order to further enrich the Wikiquote project, from these major authors who have mostly won the Grand Prix Literary from Black Africa and many other prizes ... I think that in 11 days of reading at most, I will have read at least 6 of the books I wanted. Which is therefore like transport: 5000 X 11 = 55 000 XOF.
