Hello Elns, thanks for submitting this grant application. I have reviewed it and I have the following questions:

  • I see that this project is similar to your previous project in terms of impact and activities but yet your request is more than 200% increase in the budget. Could you please explain the reason for this increase? What are you planning to do differently this time?
  • Could you please provide more details about the "Equipment and books". Specifically, what kind of equipment do you plan to purchase? Please provide a detailed breakdown.
  • I'd also like to learn more about human resources. What's the need for hiring 3 people if in the past you didn't hire any personnel? *What will be their role and occupation? How many hours per week will they work? Are the rates in line with the average rates in Cameroon?
  • Are you in touch with Wikimedians of Cameroon User Group or collaborate with them? Do you have any plans to partner with them in terms of this project?

Looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 11:04, 29 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Answers to questions edit

Hello DSaroyan (WMF), Thanks for your feedback on our grant application. Please find below the following questions:

  • In our last report, due to our difficulty to find free-use information on rural areas like villages, you suggest us if we would include some budget to purchase books or other sources that can be used as sources. And also as our organisation always cover somes expenses to realise project you also inform us that, the Rapid Fund program can cover up to 5,000 USD and help us to reduce our financial effort. Please find your advice in this link https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants_talk:Project/Rapid/AGRIPO/Wiki-agripo_7.0_:_edit-a-thons_on_villages_in_the_East_Cameroon/Report?markasread=3992679&markasreadwiki=metawiki#c-DSaroyan_(WMF)-2021-10-21T07:46:00.000Z-Report_accepted_and_comments.
  • In all our previous projects, the Rapid grants cover part of the budget and not all expenses. We cover for examples human resources. In the others hands we cover all regions of the country and we do not leave in all these regions. Usually to have facilities, we need to have local human resources. In the last project, we do not have local resources and we have problem for example to find people who want to take picture of the regions. The aim is to try to be more effectitive mainly on photos production where we have difficulties to convince in the remoted regions.
  • And at the end, as we told previously, we are independent initiative focused on rural areas. We do not plan to enter to a strong mecanism which do not have our same objective. So we prefer to be independent of Wikimedians of Cameroon User Group. We want to be free to define our priorities and strategies.
