Thank you for submitting your grant application. We appreciate your interest in contributing to the mission of the Wikimedia Movement. We are continuously strengthening our grants review process, ensuring that grant funding is being invested towards impactful projects and efforts geared towards contributing to the mission of Wikimedia Movement in the most efficient and effective manner.

After a thorough review of your application, we have decided to not fund your Rapid Fund request. Here are the main reasons for our decision:

• There are already several active community groups in Lagos, Nigeria who carry out similar activities. We believe these proposed activities should be coordinated with active communities in Lagos and organized in collaboration with Wikimedia Nigeria UG or other groups.
• The applicant seems to be from a different Wikimedia group, even though they temporarily reside in Lagos.
• We think that the requested budget is not aligned with the project impact. Please write a detailed grant application that shows impact and the change you want to see; it should not be repetitive and should have well-planned activities and budget that align with your context.
