This project will present an opportunity to correct some of the misconception about use of Wikipedia in the academic community. I therefore endorse it. Gidadorabia (talk) 09:55, 12 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Not Funded edit

Hello @Apdoull thank you for applying for the rapid fund grant. We reviewed your grant application and decided to not fund your application at this time. Here is some feedback that you might all consider as you work towards a coordinated and potentially more impactful effort;

  • The application describes the context and the need for the project, however not enough specific, clear, and measurable objectives are stated. Consider defining targeted goals for your awareness campaign, training sessions, and community meetups. Specify the number of participants you aim to engage, the expected outcomes, and the impact you intend to achieve. Clear objectives provide a focused direction for your project.
  • The methods for engaging participants before, during, and after the activities are not clearly outlined. Describe how you plan to maintain participant interest throughout the sessions and how you will follow up after the training to ensure continued engagement. Engaging participants beyond the initial activities is crucial for long-term impact.
  • Consider establishing partnerships with local organizations or educational institutions in Jigawa State. Collaborations can enhance the credibility of your project and broaden its reach. Engaging with local communities ensures that the project aligns with the needs and context of the region.
  • Address the sustainability of your project beyond the initial activities. Discuss plans for sustaining the Wiki Fan Club and how you intend to keep the momentum going in the Federal University Dutse after the project concludes. Long-term sustainability plans are vital for the enduring impact of your efforts.
  • Consider incorporating a feedback mechanism where participants can provide their thoughts and suggestions after the training sessions. Participant feedback is valuable for evaluating the effectiveness of your activities and making necessary improvements for future initiatives.
