Some people believe that Wikipedia has inherent shortcomings however by executing this project, the participants will understand the need for verifiability in Wikipedia articles and see how Information is supported by reliable sources to verify the claims made in the articles. Active Engagement with the Wikimedia Community

By contributing high-quality images, videos, and audio files to Wikimedia Commons, improving existing Wikipedia articles, citing reliable sources, and enhancing article content with references, both new and experienced editors will actively participate in the Wikimedia Community. Significance and long-term viability

Owo is known as a cultural landmark in Nigeria and I find the strategic location of the project captivating. The project will go a long way to enlighten the populace about Wikimedia projects and encourage them to contribute in terms of local history, cultural practices, landmarks, and notable personalities in Owo that are not adequately represented on Wikipedia by using edit-a-thon. Wikimedia Awareness in Owo is targeted to inform the residents and youths of the Owo community about Wikimedia projects. Based on my experience working with the project lead on previous Wikimedia projects, I can attest to her competence in project management. I have no doubt she will handle the project effectively as she is equipped with the necessary skills and expertise. As a facilitator, I will provide in-person guidance and support for the new and existing editors as they make noteworthy contributions to the Wikimedia Space.
