Review of team's Wikidata experience edit

Because this proposal mentions Wikidata, I have performed a review of the team members' experience and record on Wikidata.

  •   Neutral Lhoussine AIT TAYFST has modest experience on Wikidata, primarily with creating items for existing Wikipedia articles. Some of these turned out to be duplicates of existing items and have now been merged. Others remain under-developed and would likely be deleted without the sitelink. In summary, this user is not making outright mistakes, but has yet to demonstrate any strong grasp of Wikidata editing.

Funded edit

Hello Lhoussine AIT TAYFST, thanks for submitting this Rapid Fund proposal. We have reviewed the proposal and made a decision to fund it in the amount of MAD 8,921.84 (900 USD). Please see our comments and recommendations below and respond to them on this page:

  • Thank you very much for your application. We are excited to see your dedication to improving the editing and contributing experience to Amazighi Wikipedia.
  • Budget. Would it be possible for you to review and revise your budget to add more details to the expenses on online training?
  • Metrics. In your proposal you mention that in terms of metrics - 50 Wikipedia articles, 50 Wikimedia Commons uploads, 50 Wikidata entries and 200 Translatewikis will be completed. Will you be offering both training on how to use the templates, portals and infoboxes, as well as showing them how to contribute/edit? This may be a lot to accomplish for these sessions and we recommend that you share a clearer outline of the training sessions that you plan to have and the expected output for each session.

Thanks again for your contributions to the movement and good luck with your project. -- FElgueretly-WMF (talk) 16:51, 16 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Dear @FElgueretly-WMF, let me at first of all to thank all of the review committee members to accept my ever first grant and the first grant dedicated to Amazigh Wikipedia (zgh.wikipedia.org). Concerning the comments and recommendations you mentioned above, I will answer on them one by one in the same order:
  • I would like to touch this side by organizing in person workshop for the active users to improve their skills in editing, and the second strategy is to organize an editing competition to attract more users.
  • Relating to the online training budget, as the active users are not numerous and a lot of them doesn't have a stable internet connection, If I want the training to be successful, I must help users who are not connected to the Internet to participate.
  • As many users are familiarized on using Wikipedia and its/other tools, It will be easy to accomplish all of these objectifs at least partially.
King regards--Lhoussine AIT TAYFST (talk) 14:09, 7 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
