good initiative edit

It is great to see initiative from less/not funded country and complex context in which work is challenging due to political-ethnic-cultural tensions. IMHO too much funding are distributed in same places for similar-repetative 'low-hanging fruit'. I applaud your effort for tackling this with ambitious plan. Having said that you might want to give yourself a bit more time or lowering output targets as it is end of the year and it might be too much to try to do at once.

Also I think you should allocate some funding for organizational and translation work, to be able to do more for people speaking different languages better (not just understanding basics). I would encourage you to try to web stream or at least record (professionally audio) the event for future reference and translation. IMHO you should at least briefly use presence of Marios to map content gaps using Wikidata and not just via reading Wikipedia. Consider that this is first event and getting people motivated and establishing future targets (creating edit lists) is maybe more important than teaching and getting many people to do many articles in short time.

I would love if you would use https://forum.movement-strategy.org to announce this and communicate to people who do not speak English well (it has automatic translation for people who are logged in). It could also be a good place to keep in touch with low volume posts but accessible across languages. Overall it is good initiative and I hope it helps you both map topics of impact and increase sustainability of your community. Best of luck! --Zblace (talk) 07:23, 10 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so much for the feedback. You gave us some really interesting points to consider. I guess, if we get the funding, this will be a learning point for us. Again appreciate you spending time to read our application. This is what being part of a community should be. AProdromou (talk) 05:20, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
@AProdromou congratulations on the grant! I see from CR-FluxxBot input you signed the agreement. As for learning points...they are many with Wikimedia work and not all are content work joy, but Rapid funds are also for learning about admin-work and fluxxing for future ;-) Good luck with execution!
