Hello Vikipolimer, and thanks for your proposal. Unfortunately, we will not be able to move forward with funding the proposal at this time for the following reasons:

• While I understand this proposal focuses on an extension, whereas your previous Rapid Fund project focused on the Adiutor gadget for several Wikimedia communities, the current proposal does present some conflicts with Rapid Fund eligibility criteria for technical projects because the general software, its functionality, and overall purpose is the same. As a general rule, Rapid Funds cannot be used for multiple grants related to the same software project, because we can't generally support continuous software development needs relying on this funding budget for community developers. However, I recognize that supporting the development of an extension would make it easier for communities to add this tool than with its current arrangement as a gadget. What is less clear to me is what communities would use the tool if it were an extension, especially if there is a way to adapt the tool to a local wiki. It may be helpful to explain this further to show why this investment would benefit certain communities who cannot use the tool as it is.
• Even if the proposal did not conflict with this criteria, there is minimal funding available for Rapid Funds for the remainder of this fiscal year (through 30 June 2024) due to limited budget growth in our funding in general, which means that not all eligible proposals can be funded at this time.
• Next fiscal year (starting 1 July 2024), I would be open to receiving another proposal from you to support these kinds of improvements with Adiutor, with some additional explanation/rationale over why the extension is important to develop beyond the current gadget.
