Comments from the MEA regional funds staff

Dear Samatics, thank you again for submitting your grant application. We are glad to see that you continue your work towards strengthening the Gungbe Wikimedians group and community. We have reviewed the grant request and here are our comments and questions:

• We think that the described change in the grant proposal is clear and important for the Gungbe community and Wikimedia movement.
• Please review the metrics section (questions 16 & 17) and adjust it with the activities mentioned. Example: you plan to invite 30 participants and run 8 events. However, the number of Wikiquotes pages created is only 40. It means that each participant will only create ~1 Wikiquote page in all these 8 events.
• Do you or any of the team members have experience in working with Wikiquote and Wiktionary? Does your team have capacity to train participants on these Wikimedia projects? We need to make sure that at least one team member has experience on the target Wikimedia projects. Please update question 5.
• Do you have any other learning goals? Could you please add them to question 15?
• Do you think 8 events are enough to train participants on 3 different Wikimedia projects? How would you make sure that participants and especially newcomers are not confused? Please add these details to question 3.
• Do you plan to focus on a specific Wikimedia project in each of the events? Or you will edit different Wikimedia projects in the same event? What about training newcomers? Please add these details to question 2 or 3.
• What would it cost to purchase the router and instead of renting it?
• Your project will last about 1 month. Do you think you will have enough time and capacity to run 8 offline events in this period? Our suggestion is to extend the duration to at least 2 months, so that you and team members have sufficient time to run the activities and for the follow-up.
