Grants talk:Programs/Wikimedia Community Fund/Rapid Fund/Administrative and Technical support for Hausa Wikimedians UserGroup (ID: 21870304)

The proposal is well-written and with clear goals. The idea of registration is good and that would certainly help the entire community and also give room for more wikipedia activities to take places in more places where they never took place. --Ibkt (talk) 04:54, 23 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

This program is timely and long overdue in ensuring administrative standards, transparency, accountability and sustainability with the Hausa Wikimedians User Group.

Furthermore, the program will ensure that the User Group registration with the Nigeria Corporate Affairs Commission accords the body privileges and opportunities to enter into partnership with relevant bodies with aligned objectives in promoting open access and open knowledge democratization in Northern Nigeria and Nigeria at large.

I'm 100% support of this project. I will say it is a milestone in the development of our Usergroup. Registering the group in Nigeria will definitely curtail all the problems listed on the proposal which has been facing the group and will also shift us into more proper status in society as well as adding more credibility and public confidence in our activities. And yes, bringing all the different communities together for a face to face meeting to start an organisation like this one will really help in uniting and encouraging mutual relationship within the Usergroup.

Extension request edit

Hello Davit,

We would like to request extension of the project end date to October 31st, 2022. We are requesting the extension because the registration process (and other things that depend on it) is still in the works; we underestimated the time required for it in the beginning. Additionally, the funds were received by us on 11 August, 2022, that is one month after the formal start date of the project, which contributes to the delay in starting the project.

Thanks. – Ammarpad (talk) 06:41, 26 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello Ammarpad, thanks for posting your request. I have reviewed and formally approved it. The new grant end date is 31 October 2022, and the final report is due on 30 November 2022. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 07:06, 26 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. – Ammarpad (talk) 15:32, 27 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
