Request for extension? edit

Thank you for updating the timeline here. Will you be formally requesting an extension with a projected completion date of November 2012? If so, please do so here so that WMF may approve it publicly.

Thanks! Wolliff (talk) 18:43, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

What is the format for requesting such an extension? Tomer A. -- Talk 10:15, 9 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Tomer: Please simply request the extension on the talk page of the grant request. Let us know (briefly) why the project was delayed and when you expect to complete it. Once the extension is approved, I will update the main page of your grant request by striking through the original completion date and adding the approved extension, so that it is clear when your project will be completed. Completion edit

The legal opinion has been received and will be uploaded to WMIL website shortly. Now what? Tomer A. -- Talk 11:15, 31 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Once the opinion is available, please link to it from the grant report. Then, since you have indicated WMIL won't be requesting to re-purpose the remaining funds, you can remit the funds to the Foundation, or we can deduct it from the FDC balance to be wired to WMIL. Asaf Bartov (WMF Grants) talk 22:50, 31 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Done. I believe that the most suitable way to return the remaining funds from this project, as well as the funds from Grants:WM IL/Software Development for Wikipedia on OLPC/Report would be to deduct it from the funds approved by the FDC. Tomer A. -- Talk 12:26, 5 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Well? edit

Tomer A. -- Talk 12:19, 25 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Tomer: thank you for this report!
  1. We notice you have some unused funds; can somebody from WMIL confirm that these should be deducted from WMIL's next grant?
  2. You mention, "Getting a meaningful legal opinion on this murky subject proved quite difficult." Could you elaborate briefly on what the difficulties were?
Thanks!Winifred Olliff (Grants Administrator) talk 18:36, 9 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
  1. I confirm this on behalf of WMIL. Tomer A. -- Talk 21:57, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
  2. As you can see, the sentence was added by Ijon on July 2012. I (Tomer A. -- Talk), later added an extensive explanation of the subject on paragraph 4 (what impact...). I believe that this paragraph explains the difficulties we dealt with, and why this simply looking project tool so long. Tomer A. -- Talk 12:51, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Report accepted edit

Thanks very much for the responses, Tomer: I'm pleased to announce the report is accepted!

By our calculation, the amount of this grant in shekels was about 18,750 at the time this grant was approved, and so the remaining amount in shekels would be about 4,830. This seems to coincide almost exactly with your calculations as well; therefore I'd suggest the amount to be deducted from the second installment of this year's FDC allocation will be 4,830 ILS. Very well. Tomer A. -- Talk 15:53, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
