Talk:Learning and Evaluation/News/Pre-conference for Wikimedia Conference 2016

Three ideas from Taiwan to make the pre-conference more effective (I hope) edit

  • I can share some ideas as below, if anyone feel this topic interesting, you are welcome to sign up!
    1. Engaging and retaining volunteers - We are a small chapter that hire 3 part time staff, but we successfully create a new group of volunteers for medical contents, and make Chinese Wikipedia become the most second active translation language in the WikiProject Medicine.
    2. Measuring and evaluating impact - We create a google spreadsheet to create a sign up table which can easily aggregate result of the participants.
    3. Designing Wikimedia programs and events - How to combine multiple project outcome of last years and add on to current time project?
  • Most of the time I hangout on Facebook, so you can reach me through there, so if you like, send me a request and tell me you are a fellow in the pre-conference with the request. I hope we can start this conversation ongoing.
  • I can bring some delicacy there for the smoother brainstorming session. Which do you prefer, sweets or salty snacks?
Hi Shangkuanlc thank you for sharing these ideas! All of them look great. As soon as we define a more detailed agenda, we will reach out to program leaders who want to share back what they learned, like you do! These outlines look great so far, and we would love to have you share on one of them. Best, María (WMF) (talk) 11:42, 3 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
