There will be training for newbies from the community on how to compress, convert and upload pictures on Wiki Commonsafter they must have created their account on Wiki.

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

To ensure that the Obio/Onitsha Olona, Aniocha North LG Photowalk 2024 is known to relevant Wikimedia communities, we will take the following steps:

This will help us reach out to editors and enthusiasts who may be interested in participating or supporting the initiative.

Through this targeted effort, we aim to leverage on the Prince of the community in Delta State to raise awareness about the photowalk, encourage participation, and foster collaboration in documenting the cultural heritage of Obio/Onitsha Olona.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

To inform participants about the edit-a-thon/upload associated with the Obio/Onitsha Olona, Aniocha North LG Photowalk 2024, we will utilize the following communication methods:

1. WhatsApp group communication: We will create a dedicated WhatsApp group for participants to facilitate real-time communication and updates about the edit-a-thon. In this group, we will share relevant resources, answer questions, and provide assistance to participants as needed.

2. Social media announcements: We will leverage social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook to announce the edit-a-thon to a broader audience. By sharing posts and updates about the event, we can reach potential participants who may be interested in contributing to Wikimedia projects.

By focusing on these communication channels, we aim to effectively reach out to participants, provide them with relevant information, and ensure their active participation in the edit-a-thon/upload associated with the photowalk. 4. Participants in the photo walk possess the necessary equipment, such as smartphones, laptops, tablets, and iOS devices, as well as the skills needed to produce high-quality content. However, to further enhance their capabilities, we will provide training sessions focusing on photography techniques, composition, and image editing. Through these measures, we aim to empower participants to maximize their photography skills and contribute impactful visual content during the photo walk. 6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?
