Alvan Wiki Fan Club Community Photo-Walk

Aim

This project being in alignment with the Wiki Loves Earth Nigeria Campaign seeks to:

• Capture some of the various Cultural Cites in Imo State and the Target Cite is Otamiri River known for it cultural importance.
• Also, to increase the visibility of some these cultural cites with their stories told from different angles and shots of various participants.
• To upload the pictures taken on the Wiki Loves Earth Nigeria Campaign Page.
• This project will focus on rejuvenating old members, enlightening them on the need to project our indigenous cultural heritage by making available some of these contents in the various Wikimedia pages, for the posterity of who we are.
• It will also focus on creating awareness, sensitization and recruiting new members and training them so that they can contribute to the WMF projects.

Scope of the Project

Otamiri River Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria

Facilitators

This project will be facilitated by User:Iwuala Lucy, Email address: lucyiwuala@gmail.com. The assistance of experienced Wikimedians like User:Tochiprecious, User:Olugold and User:Ceslause will also be sourced.

Population

This project will be made up of 20 participants/volunteers (both old and new members, as we also believe in sensitization and awareness)

Between 1st June to 30th June, 2022

Common Expenses

Transportation

• Hiring of Bus

(to and fro) - #40,000

Refreshments

• 20 plates of fried rice,

chicken and salad @#2,000 per plate - #40,000

• Drinks (2 packs) - #3,000
• Table Water (2 packs) - #2,000

Airtime and subscription

• Data subscription for participants

@#1,000 x 20 (Since it's going to involve uploading of quite a number of pictures) - #20,000

• Airtime for calls for the organizing of the event and reaching out to some of the participants - #2,000
• Data subscription for the Facilitator - #2,000

Prizes To be taken care of by the WMF. Meaning that as it is being carried out under the Wiki Loves Earth Nigeria Campaign, if any participant's uploads happens to be selected as one of the lead uploads, such prizes would be given at the Wiki Loves Campaign Prizes Category.

• Designing & Printing - #9,000

Travel Expenses - #12,000

Note: Considering the fact that the facilitator is not living within the city, there's need to seek for accommodation within the city to be able to see to the smooth running of project.
