Yoruba Wikimedians User Group/Wikipedia 20th Anniversary
Wikipedia turns 20 on 15 January 2021. On this day, the Yoruba Wikimedia Community will be celebrating the anniversary with a workshop on capacity building, cake-cutting and video production to promote Yoruba language Wikipedia. Lack of awareness is one of the major challenges facing the Yoruba language Wikipedia and other African language Wikipedia. We plan to use this opportunity to promote and create awareness for the Yoruba Wikipedia.

- The event would include a meetup, capacity building, cake-cutting. A video about a brief history of Wikipedia and the Yoruba Wikipedia and the years of work that has been put into developing the encyclopedia would be featured with some celebrities wishing Wikipedia a happy anniversary.
