From time immemorial, Human trafficking has been a concern to Africa and Nigeria in particular.

A-TIPSOM, Action Against Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants an EU funded project intends to partner the Wikimedia Nigeria User Group to train 40 Nigerian Wikimedians across all the four affiliates ( English, Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa) in Nigeria on Human trafficking. The projects intend to introduce the Wikimedia community in Nigeria to gaps in Human trafficking in the country and the inclusion of the contents on Wikipedia and its sister projects.

The partner will fund the cost of Event hall, Accommodation, Flight, local travels and dinner of all wikimedians participating in the event.

We have sent call for application to all the group in Nigeria see and over 71 applicants have applied for the event.
We have reviewed application and picked 40 applicants for the event.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

We will reachout to all the selected applicants through their email addresses and phone numbers as provided in the Google form.

Yes, the selected participants are experienced Wiki medians from four affiliates in Nigeria

The organizers ( Wikimedia Nigeria User Group and A-TIPSOM )will set up Telegram or Whatsapp group to for post events engagement of the event.

A-TIPSOM: A EU funded in Nigeria aims to enhance Nigeria's management of migration by more effectively addressing trafficking and smuggling of human beings. They are experts in Human trafficking management.
Partners will provide cost of Accommodations, Flight, local travels, event hall, entertainment and feedings.
