Journéé de la Photos At Oran edit

In 01 Feb 2019 Launch of Wiki Loves Africa 2019 during the 7th edition of the Festival de la Photographie, commonly known as the "Journées de la photo" organized by ISO-Club (a photography club created by the Algerian Nomads association), in partnership with the French Institute of Oran. which lasts three days, Wikimedia Algeria was partner of the Festival

Moudjahed Museum of Mostaganem edit

in 9 march 2019 Presnetation of the Contest at The National Museum of Mujahideen Mostaganem in cooperation with the Club Ambassadors of the Museum and #Wikipedia projects Algeria #wikimedia Algeria, organized a workshop in the #wikipedia-museum #wiki_museum Experiment in authentic documentation for the first time in #Algeria

We atteined our goal as good as possible this year, with the political events in Algeria during the contest we estimate that is accepted in 3 Goals :

  1. Add content (Photo, Video),
  2. Recruiting new editors,
  3. Increasing skills for existing editors.

Target outcome Achieved outcome Explanation
Number of participants +50 Total of Participants 41 include 31 (75%) of new users A point that could be taken into consideration is that are potential participants --- Algerians photographers --- was occupated by the last political events in Algeria.
Number of photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons +400 Pictures recieved 289 We think the low participation comes from two points
  1. The late launch of the campaign because we did not receive the funds in time to Start finance the FB campaign and others
  2. The banner that appears in Wikipedia's projects was not very understood to visitors.
Number of photos used on Wikimedia projects 40 pic 13 Like the other competitions, we did not organize any editing workshops.

We are confident that these photos will help improve the quality of Algerian items on an ongoing basis over time.

Collecting more than 400 Pictures, the Campaign in the Social Media du to the political events in Algeria during the contest.

We do not sure if the contest will be renewed next year, despite that fact 

* We plan, test the public's choice of photo by vote in addition to the Top 10.
* Also We wish to organize a unique closing ceremony for all the photo events organized by the WikiDZ group during year exercise.
* Use a clear Banner in Wikipedia ans sister projects in Algerian and with flag
