Goals
editDid you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?
- Conducting the second contest of WLM, we were able to achieve the following goals:
- The participants in the competition (32 in total), almost half was new, and the number of participants who participated before was also increased.
- We also managed to increase the number of photographs of national monuments.
- We also actively conducted advertising activities in social networks, with the help of which we were able to attract new participants.
Outcome
editPlease report on your original project targets.
Target outcome | Achieved outcome | Explanation |
Number of participants: 50 | 32 | Unfortunately we must admit that we thought the contest will involve more people. |
Number of photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons: 3000 | 2049 | We almost achieved the result. |
Number of photos used on Wikimedia projects: 300 | 267 | We almost achieved the result. |
Learning
editProjects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
- We could use our advertising in social networks, attract new members. Therefore the role of social networks is very important and is one of the key factors.
- With the help of social networks, we with the online mode helped new participants.
- During the competition, participants uploaded many high-quality photos.
- What did not work so well?
- Unfortunately the number of participants did not exceed the number that we expected.
- The above applies to the number of photos uploaded.
- What would you do differently next time?
- We will actively advertise the competition on different platforms.
