Goals edit

Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?

Yes. We cant complain, we hope to achieve more in future.

Outcome edit

Please report on your original project targets.

Target outcome Achieved outcome Explanation
Recruit new editors (Employees of Archives F/town) We managed to recruit people to create accounts and we have a follow up that we will be doing to make people get used to the projects People were recruited and most of them are interested in contributing to Wikimedia in future. They managed to create accounts and learn how to edit, how to upload media files in to the Wikimedia commons free file repository and how to re-use uploaded content in new or existing articles.
Add or improve content We did not add a lot of content to the domain but since we have a follow up, participants are doing it on their own, uploading media files and improving articles. We need the second round of meeting as it took participants time to learn and know how to upload content, they are now doing it on their ow (Follow up)

Learning edit

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?
  1. A lot of participants were very happy, all managed to create accounts in Wikipedia. We will be doing a follow up of our work and share it with others in future.
  • What did not work so well?
  1. We did not upload as much content as we hoped, other people did not have their machines with them so it took us long to do the work.
  • What would you do differently next time?
  1. We will have everyone equiped with a laptop or desktop / find a suitable room to use with proper equipment in it, in that way we will be more successful.
