Based on the success that was recorded during Catalyzing Nigeria 1.0. This project aims at keeping the editors active and engaged. As a result the team was compelled to come up with this editathon in order to ensure active participation of the newbies in the Wikimedia Movement, which is a good course for follow up.

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?

We've had trainings already. Two edit-a-thon would be held to keep the editors engaged.

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

Being a follow up program, participants have been informed ahead via the official channel

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

Past participants would be mailed, sent SMS and also called by the team members.

4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals.

Yes, they'll come with their internet enabled phones or laptops.

Through WhatsApp group.

James Moore200 Project Lead and coordinator. He is an experienced Wikipedian, local-ordinator, Wiki Loves Africa 2021 in Ilorin. Lead & Co-lead/organiser for Wiki Loves SDGs and WikiForHumanRight 2021, respectively. He also coordinated, Photographs at Model Ecowas Summit in 2021 in Abuja, Nigeria. He also served as one of the mentors for WikiVibrance African Youth Month 2021 event.
Major Lyte: He's a communication expert, project lead for Wikidata for Tourism, and Media Personalities in 2021. Aside that, he has been a winner of different community prizes through his active participation in the Wikimedia Movement. He will be assisting with communication aspects. Co-facilitator.
Godstime Elijah He is the current Vice-president of the Wikimedia Fan Club, University of Ilorin. He coordinated WPWP at Kwara in 2020 among several others. He will also be facilitating.
Favourdare123 He is an award winning editor, who has won different contests within the Nigerian commission and will be assisting with the logistics.
