Learning edit

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well? A lot of the participants were very eager to learn and contribute and hence ended up doing spectacular work. The sessions were very beneficial especially to the new editors.
  • What did not work so well? Some of the participants dropped out and stopped communicating after receiving funds for data, especially after seeing the amount of technical work that is involved. This was an inconvenience as they had already been factored into the campaign and hence wasted a chance for those who were willing to take part but reached out when the slots were full.
  • What would you do differently next time? Next time, I will clearly state what the parameters of the campaign to avoid people backing out especially when they realize the intensity of the work and research needed.
