Project Plan
editActivities
editTell us how you'll carry out your project. Be sure to answer the following questions:
1. What content will the contest focus on, and why is it important to your community?
This is regular GLAM Challenge. The contest will focus on the files from this category in articles, to create a new article, to add any referenced statement to the Wikidata item, etc. This is very important in order to use the Wikipedian in Residence files as much as it is possible.
2. How will you let people know about the contest?
There is page on meta with rules to be shared on Facebook pages, Village pumps and mailing lists.
3. How will you judge the contest and award prizes?
The participants of the contest will judge themselves by adding the point they earn by their activities. The first five with the most points will get the prizes. This is a common practice with GLAM Challenges till now.
4. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?
This is not a big project or a big amount to ask. But this kind of Challenges are welcomed in the Wiki community, as far as I know, and are useful for all Wiki projects. There is almost nothing which could go wrong, because every participant contribution is needed and useful.
Impact
editHow will you know if the project is successful and you've met your goals? Please include the following targets and feel free to add more:
For writing contests:
- Number of participants - at least 25 participants from all over the globe
- Number of articles created or improved - at least 100 articles
- Number of files improved on Wikidata - I hope all of them, but let's see the results.
Resources
editWhat resources do you have? Include information on who is organizing the project, what they will do, and if you will receive support from anywhere else (in-kind donations or additional funding).
The State Archives of the Republic of Macedonia will give one book for every winner, i.e. five books. The cost of one book is 11. 3 Euros, which is Macedonian-English edition. On meeting, me as a Wikipedian in Residence and officials from the Archives, we found this book appropriate for everyone, because the book is bilingual. This will be in-kind donation, with total amount of 56.5 Euros.
What resources do you need? For your funding request, list bullet points for each expense and include a total amount.
