Learning edit

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?

--> We got our first new base of contributors.

--> WLA created an opportunity to start mapping Rwanda's presence on the WMF projects, especially Wiki Commons & Wikipedia.

--> We had the first greatest online media house (IGIHE.COM) covering our launch ceremony. --> Participants turn up was really great.

  • What did not work so well?

--> The COVID-19 pandemic made us changing plans and pushed the project end to a further month.

--> Montage tool was great but needs some little bit of tweak on hot it displays the final results, it only bring the CSV instead of images, which requires to do a manual work to know the selected photos' winner.

  • What would you do differently next time?

Next time I would include more reach out to more groups of photographers to increase the quality images.
