1. What is your promotion plan?
You can do a campaign involving billboards or rickshaw announcements to promote a Wikimedia projects, such as Santali Wikipedia, at different places in a city. You can promote an online campaign such as Wiki Loves Monuments on Facebook, Twitter, etc using ads. You can also create gifs/slideshows or other easy to make multimedia files and use them to promote your project on social media.

We plan to carry out an offline promotion campaign at Abdullahi Mohammed Public Library of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, in order to raise awareness of Wikimedia projects to the students, lecturers and the general community on how to edit and improve Wikimedia contents


2. How will you let your community know about the promotion campaign?

Personal visitation to faculties and departments in the university and onWiki Communities have also been notified Awareness Campaign in ABU Zaria, Awareness Campaign on Wikimedia/Wikipedia editing

Were you involved in a similar project in the past? Do you have any other experience related to online/offline promotion? yes, I was a facilitator at wikipedia birthday/anniversary in Kaduna city, Nigeria

What do you plan to do after your campaign ends?

We will keep up with the new users from the institution and connect them with the onwiki and social media groups for further engagement and guidance, we will also look for other communities around the university to do such program for more awareness about Wikipedia

I User:Inyor4mr and Dr. User:Yusuf Ahmed ABU Zaria have contacted User:M-Mustapha to come and do Wikipedia training at our library as we have seen him do in other places and he accepted, that is the reason we seek this funding for the project, he will be the trainer with some of his colleagues and we will help him in organizing and facilitating the event which aims to bring Wikipedia editing to the students of the University.
