ART+FEMINISM "HER ART & HER DIGITAL STORY"
Goals edit
Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went Yes, despite the Awakening of the COVID -19 Pandemic which is ravaging the entire globe we had to make adjustments to our project and instead rolled out online webinars to recruit new editors and introduce new participants to Wikipedia. We hosted 3 online edit-a thon Art +Feminism Webinars which initially primarily focused on editing information on women in art specifically by women, but after hosting our first event we decided to incorporate men as Wikipedia editors as well. We mostly had new editors and participants who were being introduced to Wikipedia for the very first time and thankfully had a few experienced editors to help guide the new editors. Our first webinar was basically an in-depth introduction to new editors as to what exactly Wikipedia was and how to go about editing articles. We were grateful for the participation of existing editors as most participants needed one on one guided training which may have taken us a little longer than we had anticipated. We advertised mainly on online platforms as well as social media and even contacted the National Arts council to assist us in getting recognized artists to participate so as to encourage new participants to take part in the project. We had our webinars on 19th May, June 15th and 22nd July respectfully.
It is extremely encouraging to see the level of enthusiasm our new editors have displayed and they are constantly asking about when we may run another Wikipedia project.

We were very happy that the National Arts council agreed to spread the word amongst student artists and we made posters and advertised digitally and got positive queries and responses as well and having them on board encouraged participants to take part in the project. The webinars brought about correspondence and helped local female artists network and possibly share collaborations for future endures in various art disciplines! Organizing a themed edit-a-thon was a great way to get new people engaged who are passionate about art and specifically female artists. We had hoped more participants would participate in the competition and perhaps we should have extended the competition period. We found it really took more one-on-one support for people to be able to make their first edits as not everyone was completely tech Savvy. As we had online events, sometimes participants were not punctual for meet up times If we had a do-over we would extend the project to School going children so as to mold them into becoming expert Wikipedia editors and mentoring them into being passionately active Wikipedia editors. We would like to make the edit a thon a regular event with various themes on a monthly basis

- Competition Gift Vouchers= $200 was spent on prizes for our competition winners.
- Internet =$320.00 was spent on internet bundles for the online webinars.

Do you have any remaining grant funds? Yes, we do have remaining funds and we would actually like to request for more funds to run further projects.
We have zmw 16,929 remaining funds and would like to submit another proposal within 30 days.

Anything else you want to share about your project? I am very grateful to have been considered by Wikipedia and given a chance to introduce new editors as well as broaden the Wikipedia community and bring awareness to female art contributions in Zambia.
