Project Goal edit

What will be the outputs of your project and how will those outputs contribute to advancing a specific Movement Strategy Initiative

Through the Wikimedia Community Kilimanjaro/Enhancing Community Engagement and Global Inclusivity project, we aim to achieve several outcomes. These include raising awareness and encouraging active involvement in Movement Charter initiatives, translating Charter articles into Kiswahili, and laying the groundwork for a new Global Council for collaborative movement governance.
These outcomes are crucial for advancing the Movement Strategy Initiative. By fostering awareness and participation, we empower community members to actively shape the direction of the Wikimedia movement. Translating Charter articles into Kiswahili makes this vital information accessible to a broader audience, promoting global inclusivity. The establishment of a new Global Council is a significant step toward collaborative governance, aligning with the Movement Strategy's goal of involving diverse voices in decision-making. Together, these outcomes contribute to building a more inclusive, informed, and globally connected Wikimedia community.

Awareness Workshops:
We will conduct two interactive workshops to raise awareness about the Movement Charter, community roles, and governance structures. These sessions will be designed for both existing and new community members, providing a platform for discussions, questions, and clarifications. These events will contribute to building a more informed and engaged community.
Translation Sprint and Localization Efforts:

Outcomes edit

After your activities are complete, we would like to understand the draft implementation plan for your community. You will be required to prepare a document detailing this plan around a movement strategy initiative. This report can be prepared through Meta-wiki using the Share your results button on this page. • What do you expect will happen as a result of your activities? How do those outcomes address the movement strategy initiative?
  • How will you measure or evaluate your activities? What tools or methods will you use to evaluate your activities?

To create a draft implementation plan, we recommend the use of a logic model, which will help you and your team think about goals, activities, outcomes, and other factors in an organized way. Please refer the following resources to develop a logic model:
