Project Goal edit

What will be the outputs of your project and how will those outputs contribute to advancing a specific Movement Strategy Initiative

Involving the Kannada speaking community in the Movement charter is the primary goal of the project. Important Movement Charter (MC) pages will be translated into Kannada, and news about upcoming events will be disseminated to the Kannada community via different social media platforms. Also, we would like to meet in person with various members of the Kannada community, some of whom are administrators, new users, or have different privileges within the Wikimedia community and are from different regions. This will allow us to learn more about their perspectives on the Movement Charter and their areas of expertise.

What specific Movement Strategy Initiative does your project focus on and why? Please select one of the initiatives described here
Raising community awareness of the Wikimedia Movement: The first step in involving and assisting the community is translating the Movement Strategy and Movement Charter content pages into Kannada and disseminating them to the community in an effort to promote inclusivity and increased participation. The goal of this proposal is to make sure that decisions are made fairly and to make our movement more sustainable.
To support structural governance and gain knowledge of regional best practices for sustainability.
