What Movement Strategy initiative is this draft plan supporting?

What activities have you completed to produce this draft plan?

  • As a part of this plan, We translated the pages related to the Movement Charter drafts into the Kashmiri Language. The translated content was circulated to the Community members and Kashmiri language experts for the collection of suggestions regarding the translations. The suggestions were acted upon and reflected in the translations. Once the translations were improved, A pre event survey was conducted about the availability and support needed by participants. Venues related to the Kashmiri Wikipedia were notified about the conversations. For maximum participation, discord and telegram group od the community were notified along with community portals. After which Community feedback sessions were started. The meetings were open to all Wikimedians. In addition to Group sessions, One-to-one online sessions were also organized to get detailed feedback about Movement Charter drafts.

Under this Project, the following meetings were organized with the community.

  • 17th October 2023 - Movement Charter Conversation Group Session- 7:00-8:00pm (IST)
  • 22nd October 2023 - Movement Charter Conversation Group Session- 7:00-8:00pm (IST)
  • 29 October 2023 - Movement Charter Conversation One on One Session- 8:00-9:00pm (IST)
  • 11 November 2023 - Movement Charter Conversation One on one Session- 9:00-10:20pm (IST)

As a part of this project, We also published this diff post in which the implementation of the project has been documneted. Eight Kashmiri Wikimedians joined the consultations and provided their feedback. The collective feedback of the community was published on this meta page.

  • Facilitation : 150 USD
  • Documentation (document preparation time, time spent documenting of discussion, post-meeting work): 220 USD
  • Translation (translation of Charter drafts & other pages): 250 USD
  • Coordination: 50 USD
  • Online tools or services (channeled for external light source necessary for online meetings. The equipment is documented at Resource page of User Group): 10 USD
  • Data (internet or mobile costs for organizers & 7 participants to access or participate in activities): 50 USD
  • Meals: 10 USD
  • Other: 10 USD (including bank fee and increased cost.)
  • Total: 750 USD
