Rationale

In the midpoint report submited last 25 january, we wrote that the employee’s contract for the year 2020 was signed by the previous director of the Fondation Lionel-Groulx before the grant was obtained. Compensation was retroactively increased last October to the employee, while respecting internal pay equity. However, the total amount foreseen for his salary for the period covered by the grant totals $ 43,560 CAD (32 266,63 USD), a lower amount than expected as $ 54,000 CAD ($40,000.00 USD).

We ask to use the remaining $ 10,000 CAD ($ 7733,33 USD) to support the salary of our digital projects manager, Mathieu Gauthier-Pilote, who is also involved in the project as a wikimedian. Mathieu in making supervision of Jérémy Bouchez's work, he organizes training workshops with him and produces teaching materials, especially tutorials for Wikipedia.

Approval

Thank you for posting this request! I want to make sure I understand it. Are you saying that (a) you have an underspend of ~$10,000 CAD for your Wikimedian in Residence and (b) you want to use that underspend to increase pay to the digital projects manager? If that is your request, then yes, you are approved to reallocate the underspend form the WiR to pay Mathieu Gauthier-Pilote for work as a digital projects manager. If I have misunderstood your request, please correct me.
