The Federal Ministry of Information, Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy was established in 2011 under the name Federal Ministry of Communications Technology. Its purpose is to promote a knowledge-based economy, information and Culture within Nigeria society. The Ministry's establishment aimed to leverage ICT as a crucial instrument in Nigeria's transformation agenda, focusing on creation, economic growth, and transparency. The Ministry will develop and implement policies to drive Nigeria's transition to a digital economy. This is the reason why they have branch all 36 state in Nigeria where they trained students especially in field of Communications and ICT. The reason why we chose the ministry as the place where we will do this campaign and training is that, most of the students whom are receiving training on journalism and other aspects of communication are from Kaduna State University Mass Communication Department and Kaduna Polytechnic Mass Communication Department, many of these students of Mass comm want to give their contribution in developing Wikipedia and it's sister's project. But they do not have orientations and enough training on how to start using Wikipedia more especially wikitionary. Moreover Most of the Hausa Wikimedia editors are focused only on Wikipedia and some Wikipedia projects. Some of them lack experience in how to use Wiktionary. In fact, 85 percent of Hausa Wikipedia editors are only focused on Wikipedia. However, now we hope that if we have the opportunity to hold this project, it will motivate the existing editors and we will also recruit new editors. So that we can come together and move Hausa Wiktionary forward. We have informed both the Head of Department (HOD) of the Mass Communication Department at Kaduna State University and Kadpoly, and they were very excited to hear that! They also said that they will support us 100% because this is quite an interesting event for Mass comm students. The HOD of the Mass comm department at Kadpoly even advised us to use Spider FM radio, which is owned by the Kaduna Polytechnic under the leadership of the Mass comm department, to spread out the events across all the Mass Comm students and encourage them to make more efforts in embracing this kind of progress and spreading free knowledge to the world. He assured us that Spider FM radio is ours and they will give us plenty of time to use it in promoting Wiktionary and Wikipedia as a whole.

7. What are the planned activities? (required) Please provide a list of main activities. You can also add a link to the public page for your project where details about your project can be found. Alternatively, you can upload a timeline document. When the activities include partnerships, include details about your partners and planned partnerships.

The campaign will span over four days, consisting of visits to both the Mass Communication Department of Kaduna State University and the Mass Communication Department at Kaduna Polytechnic. Our aim is to create awareness and engage with students in the field of mass communication.

During the first two days, we will be at the Mass Communication Department of Kaduna State University, where we will set up our vibrant banner at the entrance. This will ensure that everyone entering the department is immediately aware of our presence and the upcoming events. We will interact with students, sharing information about our campaign and encouraging their participation.

On the third and fourth days, our attention will shift to the Mass Communication Department at Kaduna Polytechnic. Once again, we will prominently display our banner at the entrance, ensuring that students and faculty are well-informed about our campaign. By doing so, we hope to reach a broader audience and maximize our impact.
