One of the primary challenges is the significant content gap that exists on Wikimedia platforms, where topics related to Diverse Communities are underrepresented or marginalized. This lack of representation is often a result of systemic marginalization, where the experiences and perspectives of Underrepresented Groups are excluded or minimized To effectively counteract this challenge, this event will only bring more to bearing and also expose the participants to the method of contributing to Wikipedia with focus on writing improving and translating articles related to diverse communities it is imperative to cultivate an inclusive community that not only welcomes but also actively supports and empowers editors and contributors from Diverse Communities. This can be achieved through the provision of comprehensive training and support mechanisms, including but not limited to resources, workshops, mentorship programs, and safe spaces for knowledge-sharing and collaboration. By furnishing participants with the requisite tools, knowledge, and expertise, that'll equip them to create and improve high-quality content that accurately reflects the diversity and complexity of Diverse Communities, thereby bridging the existing content gap.

We are organizing Two days Edit-a-thons To create and improve Wikipedia content related to Diverse Communities, promoting inclusivity and representation. Day 1 1. Introduction to Wikipedia and its importance in representing Diverse Communities (15 minutes) 2. Training on Wikipedia editing basics and policies (30 minutes) 3. Group discussion on content gaps and priorities for Diverse Communities (30 minutes) 4. Editing session: Creating and improving articles related to Diverse Communities (2 hours) 5. Mentorship and support from experienced Wikipedia editors 6. Breakout sessions for specific topics (e.g., diverse communities ,Women, Ethnic Minorities) 7. Wrap-up and next steps (15 minutes)

I presented the proposal to improve Wikipedia's coverage of underrepresented communities to a Wikipedia human rights expert Nada I explained the importance of accurate and comprehensive representation of diverse groups on Wikipedia, highlighting the current gaps and biases in coverage. To develop the workshop,i also shared the projects on community discussion page https:// also reached out to a community advocacy group and showcased Wikipedia's potential as a tool to help them achieve their goals. They were enthusiastic about participating in the event. By partnering with this community, we can cultivate more dedicated editors who are likely to continue contributing. This is because they will be editing alongside like-minded individuals and are driven by a desire to create positive change.
