As wIkipedia is the global free encyclopedia that most of people know what wikipedia is rush to for research, but people from our societies are yet to understand especially students in universities, polytechnic and even colleges of sciences and technology. This promotion campaign will really help the students in our societies to understand wikipedia movements, Mission, Vision and wikipedia activities. Base on experience from the past campaigns i lead (Wikipedia Campaign at Notion Computer technology, Wikipedia Campaign at Kaduna Polytechnic...), it let me to understands that, most of students and lecturers think wikipedia is a historical that anything apart from history can not be found in website. that's why most of the lecturers don't accept any research, assignment or project made from wikipedia pages and due to that crises, the students have limited research resources especially when assignments was given to them or CA test is about to take place even in project research but not knowing that wikipedia is a free encyclopedia where all researches can be made in wiki pages. With this reasons, I am sure this project will help to solve these problems by that has being for long from both the students and lecturers by training and teaching them wikipedia with its activities.

With this promotion campaign project, i can be able to create awareness about Wikimedia Foundation Projects. Training and recruiting new editors. Improving the skills of the existing editor by Adding or improving Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wiktionary articles. The project will help the students of the above mentioned institution to understand that wikipedia is a free encyclopedia and it is very important and effective to their education.

yes i have team from Hausa wikimsdians User Group in persons of I Umar-askira (project lead) with: 1- Abubakar S Gwanki (Facilitator) 2- Salihu Aliyu (Facilitator) 3- Aliyu Shaba (Facilitator) 4- Hamza DK (Facilitator) 5- Hamzo (Facilitator) 6- M Bash Ne (Facilitator) 7- Yusuf Sa'adu (Facilitator) 8- Iliyasu Umar (Facilitator) 9- Aisha Yahuza (Facilitator) 10- Aishatunnabiyi (Facilitator)
The above mention people are my team. 8 of them are experienced editor and they have run one or more than projects in different communities and states but the last 2 are improving to be come experience editors (I include them because they very active in terms wikipedia activities offline. they always attend events i organized as off-wiki facilitators). We work together and shear ideas help one another as team. I will go with them as facilitators of this project.

During the events, we will create and translate article in Hausa language that are related to the above checked field.

The target participants are the staffs and the students of targeted mentioned institution (Bayero University Kano (BUK Kano), where the project is going to be organizes. I will engage the participants before and during the activities with contributing to wikipedia (Editing, improving and creating wikipedia articles). I will retain the participants by adding them in the Hausa wikimedians user group social media platforms group (Whats app, Facebook, Telegram and Instagram) where all activities are discussed there.

Since the project is going to be hold in the Institution, the all majors are taken already in terms of security majors, COVID19 majors and much more. I am sure and i don't have dough on them.

I will let the participants know about this project via the schools website's chat systems and by shearing flyers. I will also officially let the schools academic staffs know about this projects by writing an official letter to the main body.

- The joint proposal can allow me to have better result because there are experienced wikipedia editors that were projects organizers and they have being facilitating wikipedia projects. I sure they will help me to properly train the participants and they will foot-stand to see this projects go successfully.

Most of my projects i did, i use to include external or non-wikimedia partners because most a time they easily get me get access to institutions, they are the people to that i contacts first and most a times they help to gather participants. they also help in movements activities and the good story is, they understand wikipedia and join.

I have been a tutor, it is my goal to see people go further academically, Socially and financially. I will learn a lot from this project since i am going to an institution i will meet people with different tribe and Religions... What i can learn most is socialization.
