1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

Wikipedia campaign have never take place at the Federal College of Education (Technical) Bichi, while this college is among the most popular colleges in Nigeria and this college has almost six thousands students whose study under the department of Hausa language and most of them don't know on how to make a research and contribute to the Hausa Wikipedia. Therefore, through this project I will use this opportunity to bring a changes by recruiting the new editors for the Hausa Wikipedia. In advance, the less improved articles that are related to the college will be improved through this project.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

The strategies that will be used in to the achieving this changes are; Firstly, we will ask a request from the college management corporation into allowing the activities to take place in their college. Secondly, we shall provide posters and stickers during the awareness campaign and distribute them to the lecturers and students of the college, so that this will encourage them to have a knowledge of what Wikipedia is all about before the major training.

The Edit-a-thon is the main activity that will be developed and delivered after the awareness campaign.

Yes, I have the experienced editors who will assist me in delivering this project. These are their Wikipedia usernames below:

1- A Sulaiman Z: the project organizer.

2- Gwanki: He is an experienced on a wikimedian because he is well and an expert editor in Wikipedia and it's sister projects. Even though, he is an administrator at the Hausa Wikimedian Users Group and a member at the Wikimedian of Nigerian Group. Also he has organized several projects before, finally he is an administrator at the Hausa Wikipedia.

3- M Bash Ne: He is a well and ventilated experienced editor in Hausa Wikipedia and other Wikipedia sisters projects, he organized several projects before. Therefore, he is among the experienced editors who will assist me into the delivering this project. Also he is a member at the Hausa Wikimedians User Group and Wikimedian of Nigerian Group.

4- Ibrahim Sani Mustapha: He is an editor at the Hausa Wikipedia, therefore he is among the experienced editors that will assist me into the delivering this project.

The project is aim to promote and make an awareness of Wikimedia projects to the lecturers and students of the Federal College of Education (Technical) Bichi. So it will be an encouragement if the articles that are related to the college and the areas that are surrounded the college be improved during the awareness of the project, which will help into the giving a way to the new potential recruit editors grabs their opportunity to edit content they are most familiar with.

The target participants are lecturers and students of the college. I will try to inform the college's management before the time of event and highlight them about what the event is all about. Lastly, the WhatsApp group will be opened for the participants because of the responding to their questions and to be guiding them after the activities.

10. In what ways are you actively seeking to contribute towards creating a safer, supportive, more equitable environment for participants?

The participants may not necessarily have the skills because they are new but I believed that most of them will come with their smartphone, laptops and other supportive devices that will help in carrying out this project. Covid-19 protocols will effectively be observed in making sure that the lives and health of the participants are been safe.

I carried out the process in which the community will be involved, through the user group on social media, group on WhatsApp and Facebook.

Reason for not developing a joint proposal, I decided to apply an individual proposal because sometimes a joint proposal may affect the project due to the lack of cooperation between the applicants during organizing the project.
