維基百科亞洲月編輯賽事自2015年舉辦至今，到2023年已經是第9屆，穩定的有約略30種百科語言專案參與賽事，本年度也是第二次開始向社群徵集焦點主題以提供全球社群更多的百科條目編輯指引和建議，也讓亞洲社群有更多主動參與賽事主題的管道，所徵集到的焦點主題略多於2022年。而以主賽事為基礎，也有許多國際社群在賽事期間舉辦本地編輯松，以台灣而言就有台灣/斯洛伐克、台灣/韓國的雙邊編輯活動。有關國際賽事獎項，自去年開始頒發數位星章，今年也更新了星章的設計，提供社群編輯者完全不同的新星章，鼓勵繼續參與來搜集不同形式的星章。
今年度在賽事之外，也開始為強化亞洲月用戶組的組織運作、讓亞洲月用戶組更貼近不同亞洲社群的參與做準備，在經過與社群的溝通和與台灣NPO相關政府規定的了解之後，以正式遞出「亞太開放知識推廣協會」的NPO申請，以此作為未來亞洲月用戶組得以獨立並穩定運作的基礎，在未來的3-5年持續深耕亞洲社群的合作連結。 在這個過程當中，我們採取跟過去相同的執行方法，建立活動Meta Page，並以MassMessage和TalkPage作為和社群溝通與回應的主要管道，採用的數據化工具則回歸Fountain Tool，該工具雖然尚有不完美之處，但作為一直以來社群習慣使用的工具，並沒有太大的問題，接下來我們也將編列預算進行該工具的優化。 今年度與以往不同的申請NPO的部分，我們先從與台灣的ＮＰＯ管轄單位「行政院內政部」的溝通開始，確實了解相關法案條例，詳細瞭解在台灣設立以國際和跨國合作與倡議為主的NPO的權利和義務，在經過與台灣社群的說明以後，也確實獲得為數不少的支持，得以順利招募所需規定的發起人數量，順利送出申請。

- 2. 與亞洲相關社群對話，蒐集對亞洲月未來治理狀態的參與意願與想法：參加或籌辦一場國際社群說明會與對話。
1.經過與台灣開放社群的聯繫和現有台灣維基媒體協會的溝通，順利招募到30位發起人，目前已經遞送出NPO的申請。在與政府單位請益的過程當中，我們發現台灣的NPO相關規定在國際化這端尚有不便利之處，但是在章程條款內容中，具有適當的彈性能加以擴充及限制組織理事們的權利，這將有利於未來在NPO正式登記通過後，下一步籌組國際委員會。
- 2.在2023年於新加坡舉辦的Wikimania完成了與國際社群的說明會與對話，簡報如下：https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1h55Aah5dQCmivsCuL9xvclXGbRu2_C6sPRHWYAzTad4/edit?usp=sharing。該場簡報經過Wikimania大會議程的安排，與其他三個ESEAP區域社群的夥伴專案一起進行發表和圓桌論壇，一方面學習到其他社群的當地合作模式，一方面也以ESEAP區域的觀眾為主，強調了ESEAP之於亞洲月需要更多ESEAP社群主動參與組織賽事的需求。
除此之外，我們也在Wikimania期間試圖發送過去由於國際郵政系統問題而沒能成功遞送的實體明信片，即使如此還是有少部分的明信片未能順利發出，自去年改為星章發送以後，未來將漸漸減少獎項發送的問題。

在初期建立今年度主賽事Meta頁期間，我們發現由於亞洲月的歷史悠久，過去8年的Meta頁面在改朝換代之下，已形成十分複雜的網站架構，導致未來的賽事更新和連結更新不易。因此，在原先規劃的計畫之外，也進行了部分的賽事頁面簡化及優化的工作，我們著手整理了舊有的歷史頁面，並以考慮到未來10年的易用性，重新規劃了亞洲月賽事頁面的架構，接著我們也會持續在每次頁面新建的同時，更加注意頁面架構的一致性。

自去年開始，為了降低新建條目的困難度，我們開始告訴社群，優化現有條目也可以納入亞洲月的編輯活動範疇，然而過去統計工具是以新建條目為設計，導致統計較為困難。由於我們並未強制各語言專案需要跟進這個規則建議，因此某次對於優化現有條目的數量較難精準估算，已經納入下一年度的重點評估項目之中，並申請專案預算用於優化統計工具。
