1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

WIkidata is a grey project that is popular in the diaspora but very little number of people are aware of it, nonetheless its essence.Through this project, we expect to:

1. Introduce participants to Wikidata query service (SPARQL) and quick statements
2. Create/update Wikidata items of Ghanaian public Senior High Schools.
3. Celebrate Wikidata:Tenth_Birthday.

Following the above, our ultimate goal is to:

1. Create awareness about Wikidata and its tools
2. Recruit new editors for the various Wikimedia projects
3. Increase skills for existing editors
2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

1. We will organise party or celebration cum trainiing where we will be bringing together our community members and inviting new people.

2. To sensitize participants on Wikidata and the tools that automate edit or query the edits people do using SARQL query service

Wikidata's tenth birthday will fall on Saturday, 29 October 2022, we will host the event on Saturday, 29 October 2022, 5 November 2022 and 12 November for the Dagbani Wikimedians, Gurene Wikimedians, and the Moore Wikimedians. We prefer Saturdays to hope the weekend will be more convenient for everyone. While this celebration will be virtual for those that cannot make it to the in-person, we will use the 3 inperson events to introduce participants to Wikidata and show a short demonstration of SPARQL query service and Wikidata quick statements.

This birthday will be organized among three communities spread across different Geographical locations with varied socio-economic status who speak different languages but are mutually related.

The target participants are the people in the Gurene, Moore and the Dagbani communities. We will engage them via our various social media platforms and there will be an evaluation form for participants to express their general thoughts on the project

The Friendly Space Policy document is pinned on our Social media platforms to give community members an idea about how we respect people. We will abide by the Wikimedia friendly space policy during the event as organizers. We will also explain this to participants during the launch of the celebration and also before the birthday meet up.
