Kpalimé, située à 140 km de la capitale Lomé au Togo, est une perle dissimulée, foisonnant d'attraits touristiques, tant sur le plan culturel que naturel. Force est de constater qu'il n'existe pas ou peu de contenu des projets wikimedia sur la ville. Or, la population utilise des canaux traditionnels pour voir accès aux informations. C'est dans cette perspective que l'objectif de ce projet est de révéler la richesse de la ville en exploitant les projets Wikimedia comme canaux de diffusion pour partager ces informations précieuses.

Nous aspirons à recueillir des enseignements précieux de notre implication dans le projet Wiki for sustainable Tourism in Togo. Dans un premier temps, notre objectif est d'approfondir notre compréhension de la manière dont l'intégration des projets wikimedia peut être pertinente et significative dans le contexte du tourisme au Togo. En participant activement à ces plateformes, nous cherchons à développer une expertise pratique dans la contribution aux bases de données collaboratives, tout en enrichissant notre connaissance des meilleures pratiques en matière de préservation des sites touristiques.
De surcroît, nous avons l'ambition d'acquérir des connaissances sur la manière d'inciter de manière efficace la participation de la communauté des professionnels et des associations touristiques à nos projets Wikimedia. Nous cherchons à créer un environnement favorable, encourageant leur engagement et favorisant une collaboration fructueuse.
