There are several minorities in the Arabic community; religious, cultural, lingual as well as disabilities. In this project, we will try to increase the awareness about the difficulties the minorities face, moreover, we target to increase the free content about them on wikimedia projects, Wikipedia and wikimedia commons. Before the official start of the competition, we will prepare a list of minorities in the Arabic community according to the country, then we will share this list with the competition posts on social media and mailing lists to encourage the community to participate. Moreover, we will create the competition page on wiki and set roles. 1- Photo competition 1-30 June 2024 We will encourage photographers around the Arabic community to participate and increase media uploaded on commons about minorities. We will follow the inputs during the month, contact user groups to share about the competition, contact jury members to start the jury process after 3oth june. 3 jury members will choose the best 3 places after the end of competition and we will announce that on the social media and send winners personal invitees to join the closing ceremony and share their experiences, thoughts and feedbacks for future similar projects. During the period 1-31 July, we will observe the jury process of the photo competition besides preparing for the editing competition. We will use the list we will have created to create a table of articles needed to be created or improved in Arabic wikipedia related to minorities. Furthermore, we will create the competition page on Arabic wikipedia, set rules and publish about the start of it.

2- Editing competition 1-30 August 2024 We will encourage editors, newbies and experienced ones, to join by sharing on social media and mailing lists beside asking the Arabic user groups to share with their members. We will observe the added inputs and contact jury members. 3 jury members will choose the best 3 places after the end of competition and we will announce that on social media and send winners personal invitees to join the closing ceremony and share their experiences, thoughts and feedback for future similar projects.
