1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

The impacts of climate change within our region have been massive. Unfortunately our community does rarely realise the issue for what it is’; climate change! We recognize that localizing the narrative around climate change and helping the community putting issues into perspective will go along way in increasing awareness.

The main challenges we are trying to solve is lack of awareness and knowledge about the specific impacts of climate change and pollution in the identified areas. Many people may have a general understanding of climate change but may not be fully aware of how it is affecting their local communities. Additionally, there may be a lack of accessible and comprehensive information on the specific consequences of pollution and climate change in these areas.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

The importance of this change has been assessed through various means such as scientific research, data analysis, and consultation with experts in the field. Studies have shown that climate change and pollution have wide-ranging impacts on ecosystems, biodiversity, public health, and the economy. By addressing the knowledge gap and increasing awareness, we can empower communities to make informed decisions and support initiatives that mitigate and adapt to these challenges.

3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?

Edit-a-thons and articles on wikipedia; enwiki and swahili wikipedia swwiki This strategy allows for the dissemination of information through a widely accessible platform, reaching a global audience. Videos and photos are an effective medium to convey the impact of climate change and pollution as they can capture visuals, interviews, and personal experiences, creating a powerful narrative that resonates with viewers.

4. Are your activities part of a Wikimedia movement campaign or event? If so, please select the relevant campaign below. If so, please select all the relevant campaigns from the list below. If "other", please state which.
