1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

Wiki Loves Pride” is a global campaign to expand and improve LGBT related content across several Wikimedia projects. The activities of Wiki Loves Pride are focused on June and October. Thousands of LGBT cultural events and celebrations are held around the world during the month of June. October is observed in several nations as LGBT History Month.This first-of-its-kinds occasion in hausa will hosts a great number of Queering communities our local activities will be organized within a global frame work with severals experienced editors who can support this work Loves Pride will be increasing the number of people and perspectives contributing to LGBT information on the site, as well as encouraging institutions to add their authority information, research and images to the public domain. Contributions to information about LGBT topics in politics and policy, medicine, topics in identity sexuality, and society, rights and attitudes, history, culture, and institutions will vastly affect the ways in which these topics are researched and understood internationally.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

The project will achieves its aims by celebrating this year history pride month with existing gender equality-focused civil society and queering communities to release their intelligence onto Wikipedia, and by training established Queering groups and working with existing Wikipedia Volunteer groups to disseminate this information among the Wikimedia projects. In addition, the project encourages the activation and support of new and existing editors (both female and gender-sensitised male Wikipedians) in Hausa communities wiki Loves Pride will also be increasing the number of people and perspectives contributing to LGBT contents.

3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?

wiki Loves pride is organizing an online/offline campaign in which Wikipedia volunteers in our local community and all over the country will write and improve articles on topics of LGBTIQ+ terms, persons, organizations, festivals, books, cinematography and all other topics that support human rights and differences.Workshops on copy-editing, article creation, and sourcing will be hosted.

Pride Month is important because it marks the beginning of huge change within the LGBT wikimedia community, as well as the wider societal implications. LGBTQ+ still faces harassment from the world but it's just the start of their long wait for recognition. This projects will address the gab among queering wikimedians participation in Wikipedia and to also ensure equity in sharing knowledge in Wikipedia

Queering communities are welcomed to come edit Wikipedia with us at this event. Women, men, new editors, human rights activists who have resources to share about much needed coverage areas in Wikipedia (pride month, human rights & culture, ), those who want to learn how to edit or can teach others how, and anyone with an interest having a great time & editing further more we will be in contact with the participants through various social media channels and a group will be formed for all participants part of the discussion in the edi-a-thon is to encourage every participants after the program to continue editing in Wikipedia.

10. In what ways are you actively seeking to contribute towards creating a safer, supportive, more equitable environment for participants?

The Wikimedia foundation's friendly space policy and Universal Code of Conducts policies along with safety space policy will be fully in place to make sure everyone is free from anything and will exercise all the rights they have.
