To document the Namibian innovative and creative manufacturing process through photographic and video visuals.

Launch: To launch the project and introduce the participants to the photo contest Training Workshops: The workshop will help with equipping editors with advanced photographic, videographic and metadata skills so that they will be able to add content on wiki commons. Photo walks: To enable participants to capture moments related to the 2024 theme. Several uploading hours: To keep participants engaged to be able to achieve the project outcomes. Price giving ceremony: This will be a motivational event to thank all the top contributors and hand over the project certificate to all the participants and map the way foward for the next projects.

Our local activity will be organized within a continental framework, with several experienced editors who can support our work. The drive will be organized by the Wiki Loves Africa team. The WLA team does provide communication material (e.g. social media cards and posts), communication channels and is organizing online training and support for participating groups (office hours, one-on-one, telegram group, etc.) Key people for mentorship are User:Anthere and User:OtuNwachinemere. Several formally participating people, including administrators on Wikicommons, already indicated they will join again and can further help, more in depth. Our team includes:

A team of librarians that are willing to help to execute this project. All these team members are volunteers and they are not salaried. User:Martin Hipangwa : Project Leader Martin will be responsible for all the project dealings and shall be responsible with leading the project to completion. We will be targeting the youth, aged 18-40. Existing participants have the basic of uploading photos to wiki commons but lack the skills to create quality meta data. For the new members, we will add them to our existing WhatsApp groups, using and tagging on our social media pages.

Through tracking on the dashboard, we shall track the participants who are doing a great job in contributing and those that need our assistance along the way.

Every month we have a meet up with all the participants, thus this method will be used to encourage and find out if participants are contributing after and beyond the project.

When we completed the Wiki Loves Africa 2023 in Namibia, during the closing ceremony we discussed the way forward and resolved that we need to participate in the next contest so that our community can increase their skills in Wiki Commons. More and more photographic skills is still required after the first contest, which was our first one. Unfortunately we didn't record the session when we discussed the recommendations from the last contest.

I expect to have learned many skills as leader of Wiki Loves Africa initiative in the Wikimedia network. I expect to have extended my network. I expect to have achieved recruitment, training and team building of new editors in my local area, and intend to follow-up. I expect new content uploads on the theme "Africa Create" from my country.
