1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

Percentage of Articles about Women in Wikipedia is lesser to that of the Men. This project tends to sourced notable African Women,translating them from English language to Igbo language thereby bridging/filling gender gap and also increase content in Wikipedia. It will also increase Editors and increase the knowledge of already existing editors who have been finding it difficult to edit Wikipedia articles.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

To derive the expected results,i will involve Igbo linguists and competent Igbo language native speakers who can transfer the source language articles to the target language.

3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?

I will train the linguists about Wikipedia and it's Sister projects, Register the new editors on meta, teaching them the basics of translating wikipedia and content translation tool,then the edit a thon and contest.
