Our satellite event which is scheduled to live stream into the wikimania 2023 conference in Singapore will be focused on the theme "Diversity.Collaboration.Future" in conformance to the theme of the main event which tends to throw more light on the interests of the affiliate group. The aim of this event is to bring LGBTQ+ affiliates together to discuss outcomes and difficulties in working on LGBT+ themed projects in a form of livestream party in conjunction with wikimania 2023 conference.This will also help to strengthen gender representation online. In addition, it will be a time of bonding, strengthening of alliance and evaluating talks to improve the user group. As the LGBTQ+ community is an important part of the Wikimedia Foundation's mission. We believe that this event will provide a great opportunity for LGBTQ editors to meet, network, and share knowledge on LGBTQ+ themed content projects. We are confident that this event will contribute towards the wikimedia foundation's mission to provide free access to knowledge for everyone.

The event is a livestream party into wikimania 2023, therefore it will be in the form of a small conference. We plan to have a series of presentations and panel discussions that explore the topic in depth, with ample time for questions and audience participation. We also intend to hold breakout sessions and networking opportunities where attendees can connect with each other and share ideas.

The target participants of this event are the queer community and LGBTQ+ identifying people working on LGBTQ+ themed projects. An online application forms will be published on the various social media pages of the LGBT+ Rights Ghana to call all queer people who have participated in Wikipedia workshops and trainings and other user groups and ally’s who may be interested to attend the event. Events details and all other communications will be sent through emails which applicants would be required to provide in the application process.
