I want to translate and edit some Islamic articles that are not in Hausa Wikipedia, edit them and add pictures to them and to highlight path for wikimedians to start contributing on Islamic articles. Some of these articles that are not translated to Hausa language are:

People are not contributing much to Islamic articles thinking that Islamic articles are not much in Wikipedia.

This changes are what we want to bring through enlightening Hausa community on Islamic related articles that are translated to Hausa language. Professionals on Qur'an Qira'at are to train the wikimedians so that they will surely understand what Islam says about it and have courage to start editing in Islamic articles on Hausa Wikipedia.

I planned to get participants by performing an awareness for the project, where professionals on Qira'at will be there to enlighten people on the 7 Imams and their 14 students. Training wikimedians on how to edit, translate and upload pictures to these articles will come after getting the participants. So also competition will be done between the participants where they will be ask to get some Islamic articles edit, translate and add photos to them. A participant with highest number of articles will be declared as the winner follow by 2 participants. There will be a main event where the final activity of the project will be done with which among is announcing the winner of the competition and training on the aspect of free license in Wikipedia. Below are the list of the activities for this project.

4. Physical training for participants.
5. Competition for participants
6. Main event and prize presentation.
7. Certification of participants.

We are targeting 40 participants from 2 Hausa communities. Where we are targeting 25 new users and 15 olden users. Before the activities, there will be an awareness for the project where we are expecting to get the participants. There will be online meeting with them, a WhatsApp group will be open for the participants where we will get to know each of them and we will be communicating throughout the activities there. After the activities, phone numbers of the participants will be collected so that we will be having random phone calls and also there is our social group channels of our user group named Muslim Wikimedians User Group. They will join and we will be contributing to Wikipedia through them.

We have one on one discussion with leader of NCPUG on the project where he highlights the importance of what we want to do and encourage us on it he will also be part of the organizers of the project. On the community side we try meeting the wikimedians within the community like unclebash, musavachoi, and sadauki. So that they guide us through and they really appreciate. I will like to learn how effective translation of articles to peoples language is and how it will promote the quality of the knowledge peoples get when they are taught in their mother's tongue. I will also like to know how the wikimedia tools are used to gather datas used in a project and in Wikipedia at large. I want to learn the concept of Qira'at ( various forms for recitation of the holy Quran).
