The change I am trying to bring is to increase awareness and participation in Wikipedia and its sister projects among the students and staff at Federal College of Education Zaria. The main challenge I am trying to solve is the lack of knowledge and understanding of Wikipedia as a reliable source and the misconception that only experts can contribute to the platform.

To achieve this change, I plan to organize a series of workshops and training sessions at the college to introduce students and staff to Wikipedia, its editing process, and the importance of contributing to the platform. I will also emphasize the role of Wikimedia projects in promoting knowledge sharing and open access to information. By providing hands-on experience and guidance, I aim to empower the college community to become active contributors to Wikipedia and help them understand the credibility and reliability of the platform.

Overall, my main approach is to educate and engage the college community through interactive and informative sessions, ultimately fostering a culture of collaboration and contribution to Wikimedia projects.

Establishing a Wikimedia Club at the college to continue promoting awareness and engagement with Wikimedia projects. 5. Creating informational materials and resources in the Hausa language to facilitate understanding and participation from the local community.

Details about the project can be found on the public page for the grant application, which will include a comprehensive timeline of activities and expected outcomes. Additionally, partnerships with local organizations or individuals who can provide support and resources for the project will be included in the project plan. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1T-LGjV7NEcqVswSvWk_efLq3LlZqIcPqp69VRUOHIoA/edit?usp=drivesdk
