This project's target is to digitize items under four heads those are briefly mentioned bellow with their actual importance. All are related to Bengali Language language, literature and culture outside West Bengal in India. These documents are not archived properly, not easy accessible, even some will not be available after some days due to their dire poor condition. So this project has a multilevel significance from different aspects. This documents will also provide huge authentic references and give support to different wiki projects, activities etc. In the the context of South-Asian socio-cultural perspective these will also be considered important. It also related to underrepresented community work as these are the documents of Benagali outside West Bengal.

1. More 10000 (approx) pages of Behar Herald, which are newly found in the library of Bihar Bengali association after the previous project completion Project page. 2. All available issues contains approximately 3500 pages of KARMASHALA (কর্মশালা )[[1]], official Bengali bulletin cum magazine of Shillong Sahitya Parisad, Shillong, meghalaya. 3. All available issues of KALIMATI (কালিমাটি) [[2]] contains approximately 10000 (approximately) pages which is a Jamsedpur Based Bengali magazine and 4. 5000 pages approximately of 20 books written by Prof. Tapodhir Bhattacharjee <a>https://bn.wikisource.org/wiki/লেখক:তপোধীর_ভট্টাচার্য</a> <a>https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q50810370</a> [[3]]

The importance of the Behar herald [[4]] has been stated in details In the early project proposal ID: G-RF-2209-10517. More 8 binding volumes contains 10000 pages (approx) are found recently and the Bihar Bengali Association, owner institution of the news paper is agree to extend the early made collaboration.

KARMASHALA (কর্মশালা ) magazine is an quarterly has been published science 1991 by the Bangiya Sahitya Parishad,one of the oldest Bengali association (1937), Shillong, Meghalaya. KALIMATI (কালিমাটি) is a very highly appreciated Bengali Magazine by  Prof Dr. Anup Kumar Sen ( pen nem Kajal Sen) from Jamsedpur, Jharkhand since 1978 and this  quarterly magazine has already completed its100 issues journey. Both magazines have importance in Literature, translation and more over the documentation of Bengali cultural and social history exist outside the West Bengal. Editor is agree to give up his copyright for public domain. 
     

Professor Tapodhir's Bhattacharjee the Ex, Vice-Chancellor of Assam University has written many remarkable theoretical and analytical essay books in Bengali and English languages. It is his great generosity that he is agree to continuous collaboration with this wiki digitization project by releasing his copyright for 21 books for this slot.

Step 1. Only a laptop with good configuration to be purchased. Our West Bengal user group already owned a scanner which will be used for scanning.

Step 2. Official copyright declaration will be taken from appropriate authority/writer. Already they have assured it verbally.

Step 3. A person competent to digitize and post-process the documents with care will be actively searched, trained to use the scanner as well as to upload the digitized documents to Wikimedia Commons and assigned for the task as WiR. The activities of the WiR will be regularly monitored by the GLAM organization officials and by us. Remunerations will be provided by us from this grant for the time and effort of the WiR.

Step 4. Several time need to go and spent some days to Silchar, Meghalaya, Jharkhand and Patna for collecting, organizing and if possible we will scan the documents (specially in shillong) because the GLAM organization will not provide any logistical support to us like computers and lodging etc.

Step 5.The digitized documents will be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons and will be made ready to be transcribed and proofread by Wikisource volunteers. Eventually, the texts will be used as reference materials for relevant Wikipedia articles and data will be generated on Wikidata.

We will target the English for the Behar Herald and Bengali Wikisource community for the other Bengali books and magazines who will be transcribing and proofreading the volumes of newspaper, magazines and books over time. After uploading the digitized versions of the documents on Wikimedia Commons, we will create index pages of those works, so that the English Wikisource community and who are interested in Bengali scholastic socio-cultural field can take up the work. We would also like to stress, our activities are mainly focused on digitization only and the community takeover will happen in due course, most probably after the grant period ends.

I have successfully completed a project on Behar Herald ID: G-RF-2209-10517 and through this second fund proposal, I will have the further opportunity to coordinate this Wikimedia GLAM project more efficiently. Meticulously I will handle the project to complete this work within the time frame and will submit the report. I will engage the more wiki people for good and useful output of the project. I will take more the technical advice and other guidance from the user group members. I am sure I will overcome the previous flaws from my side while executing this project.
