C'est une première pour le Bénin de participer au projet WikiAfroCreatives lancé par The Africa Narrative, qui réunit les créatifs et les professionnels des industries culturelles africaines dans le but d'enrichir les connaissances sur l'économie créative du continent sur Wikipédia. Notre objectif est d'encourager les passionnés du cinéma africain à contribuer à la base de données sur le cinéma africain sur Wikipédia, Wikicommons et Wikidata. Le cinéma africain, en particulier celui du Bénin, est sous-représenté sur Wikipédia et les articles actuels manquent d'informations. Ce concours, qui débutera par plusieurs formations, permettra de combler ces lacunes sur Wikipédia, Wikicommons et Wikidata.

Le lancement de la campagne marquera le point de départ enthousiaste du Projet WikiAfroCreatives au Bénin, créant une impulsion positive pour la mobilisation de la communauté autour de l'enrichissement du contenu sur le cinéma africain sur Wikipédia, Wikicommons et Wikidata. Formation :

Les participants ciblés pour la campagne WikiAfroCreatives au Bénin comprennent des créatifs, des professionnels des industries culturelles et créatives, ainsi que des passionnés ayant un vif intérêt pour le cinéma africain et les membres de la comunauté du Bénin. La communauté visée est constituée d'individus capables de contribuer de manière significative à l'enrichissement du contenu lié au cinéma africain sur des plateformes telles que Wikipedia, Wikicommons et Wikidata.
Notre objectif ambitieux est de former 25 professionnels et étudiants en cinématographie. Nous entreprendrons une approche proactive en les contactant individuellement, mettant l'accent sur la sensibilisation au projet et en leur exposant les avantages de contribuer à Wikipédia ainsi qu'à ses projets affiliés en tant que spécialistes du cinéma. Nous leur proposerons une session de formation en présentiel afin de développer leurs compétences pour modifier, corriger, ajouter des liens et références, et créer des articles Wikipédia de haute qualité.
Pour les motiver davantage, nous prévoyons d'instaurer des incitatifs sous la forme de prix locaux, d'attestation, qui sera remis à la fin de la campagne en reconnaissance de leurs contributions exceptionnelles. Cette démarche vise à renforcer l'engagement des participants et à les encourager à exceller tout au long de la campagne.
